Too many things that need to be fixed.
So lets start with the positive. This thing is the perfect size to lug around for a lunch and not look weird doing so. The inside size is near perfect for the containers that I use but just a bit too small for my ziplock sandwich containers.(Not a deal breaker). The build itself seems like if properly taken care of the body of the cooler will last ages. The basket is a nice touch. Garantees if I use ice that I have a spot too keep things dry. I tend to use freezer packs and don't use the basket in this model. Now for some points to improve. The freezer pack is next to useless. Everything I use for my lunches are from the fridge. My previous lunch bag kept things cold not only to lunch but right up to when I got home. This little freezer pack is good for a couple hours and then there is no feeling of cold. The cooler itself may be the issue. There is no feeling that its actually sealing when you close it. This becomes more or a container to hold my food more than something to keep it cold. If you have roof I would definitely suggest using a larger ice pack. And my final issue is the top compartment. While I love having this. I do not like using it. Unlike the 14 qt. This one is hard to open and a pain to use. I love my pelican products but between this and the 14qt. I don't see them as number one for keeping their cool.
