The Garmin Tread 2 is a rugged 8-inch all-terrain GPS navigator built for off-road enthusiasts who demand reliable navigation in the harshest environments. Designed for side-by-sides, ATVs, overland rigs, snowmobiles, and other adventure vehicles, it combines durable construction with advanced navigation tools to help you confidently explore remote trails, rugged backcountry terrain, and unpaved roads.
Featuring a high-resolution ultrabright glove-friendly touchscreen, the Tread 2 is engineered to withstand extreme weather and rough conditions with its IP67-rated dustproof and waterproof design. The upgraded processor and 10 Hz GPS receiver deliver fast map drawing, responsive routing, and accurate positioning while navigating demanding trails and terrain.
The Tread 2 comes preloaded with topographic maps for North and South America, OpenStreetMap trail data, U.S. Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Maps, and Adventure Roads and Trails content for turn-by-turn off-road navigation. High-definition elevation maps, public and private land boundaries, and trail difficulty ratings help riders better understand terrain and route conditions before heading out.
For enhanced exploration, subscription-free satellite imagery can be downloaded directly to the device over Wi-Fi, providing vivid overhead views of trails, routes, and surrounding landscapes. The Garmin Tread app also unlocks the Great Rides feature, allowing users to discover highly rated off-road routes, plan custom adventures, sync waypoints and tracks, and share GPX files with fellow riders.
Built-in connectivity features keep riders informed and connected during every adventure. Pair the navigator with your smartphone for live weather updates, storm alerts, smart route planning, and messaging. Bluetooth compatibility supports helmet headsets for hands-free communication and music control, while optional accessories expand functionality with group ride radio communication, Garmin PowerSwitch control, inReach satellite communication, and GPS dog tracking.
